Dear Students and Parents,
After more than 20 years of teaching and performing, I have never had a more interesting group of students. Thank you for being so engaging and challenging. I am unusually impressed with the progress all my students have made this year, from my beginners to my professional performers. I am enjoying every student and every minute of it. It is especially fun if you have practiced. Our on-line lesson will continue until we are all safe breathing and forcefully exhaling on each other.
Below is a short list of reminders about my Studio. They are all designed to make scheduling easier for you and to make your lessons as fruitful as possible.

Below is a short list of reminders about my Studio. They are all designed to make scheduling easier for you and to make your lessons as fruitful as possible.
- Please arrive (or log-in) a few minutes early so you won’t feel rushed. Please warm up beforehand to get the most out of your lessons. Have all your tracks and sheet music ready. Do a quick sound check of your Zoom program.
- Girls and Women, please dress for your lesson as if you were going to an audition. Look your best. A little lipstick never hurt anyone. I want to hear AND see the performer in you. If you have online lessons in your bedroom, as many young people do, please make your bed! I have standards.
- Some weeks it is impossible for you to practice as much as you want. I understand this. There are plenty of things I can teach you to make good use of your time, ear training, note reading, sight reading, etc.
- If you are going to be late or have to cancel at the last minute, please let me know as soon as possible by text. I will reply to texts at the end of my teaching day or as soon as possible. I don’t take time from a student’s lesson to return your calls or texts. Please schedule your personal appointments at a time that doesn’t conflict with your lessons time, if at all possible.
- Lessons are paid through Venmo or Zelle. It’s free. Your tuition is due on the 25th of the month preceding your month of lessons. A 30 day notice is required if you stop lessons.
- Make up lessons. You qualify for a make-up only when you give me 24 hours-notice. I will be as flexible as I can, especially for my military students who don’t have a choice about their schedules.
